Who operates the app

Horef Labs is the product brand of Anton Horef. For privacy questions or support, email support@horef.app.

Health and activity

Horef Rings reads only Health categories you authorize through Apple’s permission screen. It does not write Health records. Health snapshots are stored locally in an App Group cache excluded from backups; the app does not send Health records to Horef Labs or use them for advertising. Apple Health and its own iCloud settings are controlled separately by Apple and you.

Location and weather

If you allow location access, your approximate location is used to request forecasts from Apple Weather through WeatherKit. A recent location and forecast are cached on your device. Apple processes weather requests under its own terms and privacy policy. No location is sent to Horef Labs.

Calendar and paired devices

Calendar permission is optional. The iPhone app reads upcoming events, never edits them, and sends the next event snapshot and phone battery level to your paired Watch using Apple WatchConnectivity. Settings also sync between your paired devices. The developer does not receive these records.

Storage and deletion

Your layout preferences are stored in shared settings. Private data snapshots use a local cache with device file protection. Revoke Health, Calendar or Location access in device Settings at any time. Removing the app removes its local app data according to Apple’s system behaviour; it does not delete original records from Health or Calendar.

Support and this website

Sending email voluntarily shares its contents and your address with Anton Horef and the email provider so we can answer. Please avoid sending medical records or screenshots containing sensitive data. This website has no advertising or analytics scripts. Its hosting provider may process IP addresses and request logs for delivery and security. We do not use those logs for advertising.

Use only the sources you want. No account is required. Contact support@horef.app for access, correction or deletion requests concerning support correspondence. Material changes to this policy will be published on this page. Horef Rings is a personal information display utility, not a medical device.
