Horef Portal

Windows programs in their own Mac windows.

Free · direct download

Horef Portal installs Windows 11 into the free VMware Fusion for you, without setup questions, and opens Windows programs as separate windows next to your Mac apps — with 3D acceleration. Put programs in the Dock, start Windows together with the app, keep the virtual machine on an external SSD.

Version 1.1.1 (3) · macOS 15 or later · Apple silicon · notarized by Apple

New in 1.1.1

Fixes the start of Windows installation on new virtual machines. Since 1.1, Horef Portal answers Windows App’s connection, password and certificate prompts for you and checks horef.app for updates.

What you need

  • A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later), macOS 15 or later; 16 GB of memory recommended.
  • VMware Fusion — free for personal and commercial use, download from Broadcom.
  • Windows App — Microsoft’s free Remote Desktop app from the Mac App Store; it draws the Windows windows.
  • The Windows 11 ARM64 ISO from microsoft.com/software-download/windows11arm64.
  • A Windows 11 Pro licence. Windows installs without activation and works with an “Activate Windows” notice until you enter your key.
  • About 40 GB of free space — on the Mac or an external SSD.

What to know

No account, no cloud, no tracking: the virtual machine and its password stay on your Mac. Windows and its licence are yours; Horef Portal only sets them up and opens their windows.
