Privacy information
This page describes the Horef Portal app for Mac. If the app starts handling data differently, this page will be updated first.
No data collection
Horef Portal does not collect, store or share personal data. It has no account, no advertising, no analytics and does not track you.
Network
The app connects only to your own Windows virtual machine over VMware’s local network (Remote Desktop). It opens Microsoft’s ISO download page, and downloads drivers from fedorapeople.org, only when you click those buttons. Once a day, unless you turn it off in Settings, it reads horef.app/apps/portal/version.json to see whether a new version is out; the request carries the app version and ordinary network metadata such as the IP address. VMware Fusion and Windows App are separate products with their own privacy policies.
Accessibility
If you allow it, Horef Portal uses Accessibility only to answer Windows App’s prompts for its own connection and to enter your Windows password there. It does not read other windows or record what you type.
On your Mac
The list of virtual machines and settings are stored in your user Library; the virtual machines in the folder you choose. The Windows password is generated on your Mac and stored in your macOS Keychain. Nothing leaves the Mac unless you send it yourself.
Support messages
Emailing support sends the content you choose to include through your email provider and our support mailbox. Contact support@horef.app for questions or deletion requests concerning support correspondence.
