Official status first

Ministry of Health bathing closures, checked every 30 minutes. Turn on alerts and HofWave tells you when one of your favourite beaches is closed or reopened.

Sea conditions

Hourly forecast for three days: water temperature, wave height, period and direction, an estimate of the waves at the shore, wind from the sea or from the land, and surface currents.

What to know

Full sea forecasts cover Mediterranean beaches. In Eilat the app shows the water temperature from a daily satellite analysis and the wind; for the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea it currently shows official status only. Forecasts come from a model grid about 4 km wide, not from a sensor on each beach. “Clear” means the latest official check reported the beach open; it is not a guarantee of water quality. Jellyfish information is the historical season from the Meduzot Ba’am citizen-science archive, not live sightings.
